Hi Barry. This shot looks awfully familiar! ;o) I liked it the first time you posted it and I look it even more in the context of Challenge #4. Great title. The framing is perfect with the subject feeling alone out in the cold, frozen in prayer and looking towards the empty space to the right where the tree branch reaches out to fill the void. Could it be symbolic of a higher power reaching out to the subject? The subtlety of colour on the statue, which you previously mentioned was the only colour you could find that day, works well to add bleakness to the mood and enhance consistency with the theme. BTW, 26 Jan was Australia Day, which was somewhat less bleak than your scene here. ;o)
