Certainly not a pretty image, but I wanted to show what happens when you let the roses grow through their whole cycle. Each one of them apples was a rose once upon a time! I heard that some people can make jelly out of that! I can't even imagine what it could taste like! Anyways, there are zillions of them here ... Very soon, all those leaves will fall off, leaving only the apples!
