I ,too,learned to fly in a Chipmunk.A Sqn. Leader in the RAF told me I was amazing for a first timer.Two weeks later,at RAF Biggin Hill Recruitment,I was told I was too tall and as I wore spectacles I would never fly with the RAF.
I really like the angle of this capture and see why you enjoy photographing vintage aircraft. I am glad they gave you a parachute and you only had to use it to sit on. My dad who flew in WWII (out of England) always told me that he never wanted to fly anything with less than two engines. Voted
