Jerry, Carol, Patrick and I went to the Fallon Navy Base to sign up for permission to enter Navy property, then we went out to the rookery we've been going to for several years. Turns out they had set up equipment to send out a large boom, sounding like a shotgun blast, apparently to chase the birds away. Consequently, there were no Herons there. Carol and Patrick found another rookery in the Stillwater area. Jerry and I made a number of trips out there into July.
