I found this boat along side of the road on my travels in SC a couple of weeks ago.
There are a couple of stories and like someone else said it is probably a combination of the two that makes the true story.
one is that some people started building this boat when there was a creek there. They abandoned it when the creek dried up and could not get it out to sea. The other one is that it was washed up there by hurrican Hugo and they could not get it back out to sea and left it. They said they know it has been there since 1989
