First, this is a lovely scenic view at a favorite hour -- a delight!! My preference is to imagine that what he has in his hands is the scarf scented with a girl's cologne -- he cannot stop thinking of her charm! ( It is NOT a "smart"phone that distracts him from the gorgeous environs. )
