The warmth of snow...

The warmth of snow means perceiving it as a protective blanket,
which isolates us from darkness and noises.

The child who is always hidden in every adult, somewhere,
gets up and waves in a frantic enthusiasm
every time the snow makes its silent apparition.

Maybe only for a short while, all looks different and mysteriously appealing....

I've never thought of snow as being warm but you make a good point. Your picture reminds me of being nice and warm inside near a fire while it is freezing cold outside. Another excellent picture. V.

That sums up the appeal of snow for me (and perhaps the fact that it is very rare here so its always a treat when it falls). I love it for the fact that it covers and hides all unsightly litter/rubbish etc, and temporarily makes everything look clean and tidy. I wish we had more of it!

It was great for awhile here yesterday...until I had to pull out the snow shovel to dig out! :) A really lovely image Marisa....the smoothly out of focus background really accentuates the beautiful colors...V
