I found these three wild turkeys fighting in a field
near Sonoma on my way to Thanksgiving dinner. The
main object seems to be for one bird to get its neck
over the top of its opponents and then force his head
down. At this point the turkey on the right has got
his opponents beak in his mouth. But his own beak
is deep in his opponent’s crop. The third bird
watched most of the time but on a few occasions pressed
his breast up against the other two.
