Ipad

view map

My first PAD image taken with my iPhone. And what's really cool is that if you click on
view map you can see where I was when I took it!
Had left my trusty D90 at home when I went for a walk this evening because I wanted
to go on the sort of walk that might hopefully burn off a few calories as opposed to
a gentle snapping stroll. Of course, there was a fantastic cloudscape above the
mirror like in-coming tide so I thought I'd try out the camera on my new iPhone
and see if it's the all singing all dancing gadget that it's supposed to be. Was
reasonably pleased with the result after playing around with it in iPhone.

A wonderful scene. I loved looking at the map. It added an element of reality to a lot of your images.

Not a bad result, considering. It captured the contrast in the cloud banks particularly well.

You need to lug a tripod around as well. I recommend the classic Manfrotto 055DB for a good weight loss and cardio workout, which is *usually* surviveable. (Which is why mine spends most of its time at home and the lighter if shorter fibre model gets to go out and play...)

Not bad at all for a camera phone! I'll still take my Nikon - carrying it burns extra calories :-)

A wonderful result with the iPhone. The camera has really improved from the previous version and so cool that you can map with it as well.
