I remember that morning! You and I were playing tic-tac-toe in the big army tent until we were allowed to get up. Either you or the "cat" kept winning. We had gotten to sleep on the old army cots! It was wonderful. I can still smell the old musty smell of the tent and the bacon cooking outside when it was time to get out of the tent. Soon after, we got to go out in the old green pram and fish on the lake with our canvas orange lifejackets on. A family up the hill in the campsite above us introduced me to Fig Newtons. We always had soooo much fun. If it weren't for your website, I would not have seen this picture and had those memories come back for probably years. I also loved the time of nice when I would here the Coleman lantern come to life and the fire would go from a smoulder to a crackle - we would roast marshallows and write our name in the air with the ember glowing at the end of our sticks (at least until we got in trouble for not paying attention to where our ember was going!) It was great growing up at our house!

Monte, is that a "Smokey the Bear" sign on the tree?
