Historic Blue Creek Ranch

Big Bend National Park, Texas

Off in the middle of this photo is what remains of Homer Wilson's Blue Creek Ranch.
At 28,000 acres, it was one of the largest ranches in the early twentieth century, and focused mainly on raising sheep and goats.
These structures were abandoned when the Wilsons moved out in 1943.

A remarkable semi-desert landscape. Must have been quite a challenge running stock there.

Great capture of this vista. It must have been quite the ranch in its heyday. V.
