2. Dust on the universe's lens

Testing my camera's capabilities, I soon discovered that it cannot take good close ups of the Moon, let alone of Venus.

This is actually not too bad; just a bit of camera shake. I get this quite a lot. You have a tripod, I assume? This usually happens when I jar it a little; I've taken to setting the timer so I don't accidentally do this, but I still manage screw something else up often enough. I took almost the same picture on March 23rd, except Venus and the Moon look further apart. http://www.pbase.com/corvidae/image/28626788) It's cool that you saw this and got a picture too -- it's a real neat alignment. Great minds think alike!
