This is Dougie and Liz Graham.
When I was an apprentice telephone engineer 40 years ago I had to attend Motherwell College.
We did block release to get our SCOTEC Higher National Certificates in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
We alternated a month at college and a month in the field with the engineers.
I stayed with Dougie and Liz and their young family when at college.
Then, after I finished my apprenticeship I was sent to Glasgow to work as an external planning engineer.
Which is also where Dougie worked.
The last time I saw Dougie was when I left BT in 1992.
The last time I saw Liz must have been about 1982.
I saw them again today.
Hopefully it won't be so long until we meet again.
