Andahuaylas is located at an altitude of 3,000 meters high above sea level in a large valley depression, is known as the city of the coloured clouds specially at dawn and dusk time. The city has not much to offer because it's more a commercial city, Hotels and restaurants offers basic average services. Has although interesting destinations outside the city like Campanayoc, Pacucha Lagoon, Sondor Ruins, Pancula Stone Forrest, Suytoccocha Lagoons, Pampa Chuquibamba & Pampachiri Cataract. The place is very dry with fluctuating temperatures between -5º at dawn to + 15º C. Rainy season is from December to March.
