Bandurria is located 140 kilometres drive fron Lima going north the Pan American Highway, recives this peculiar name because of a bird that inhabited this region. Was discovered by late 1973, first excavations were held in 1977. It wasn't untill July 2005 that the site begun to be excavated by a team of archeologists and students from San Marcos National University, leaded by archeologist Alejandro Chu. Is more than 5,000 years old. Has the same typical construction as Caral, mortar round stone walls. Is located on a terraplain in front of the Pacific, has a beautiful ocean view.
