Amazing ruins - I really enjoyed visiting Palmyra although it was scorchio that day. Luckily a few of us managed to hitch a lift to a bar with a swimming pool, to cool off for the afternoon. The owner was offering 'massages' for the equivalent of 20 pence - and a few people were surprised when the masseuse turned a bit too friendly!
