This memorial to Sgt. Ronald C. Kelley is next to the parking lot of a church in Maricopa. I discovered it when using the lot to turn around in my car. It stands in a gravel strip between the parking lot and the shoulder of SR 347.

After taking pictures I talked to a man and woman who were associated with the church and who have been maintaining the memorial for years. They said that someone else was also maintaining the memorial but didn't know who it was. Kelley was a police officer for the Ak-Chin Indian community and died (by gunshot?) about ten years ago.
