OK – I know it’s a really crappy photo – no modelling, slightly strange colour balance, uninteresting composition…need I go on?

The truth is though that it’s a photo of the bed in our spare room. It’s got clean sheets on it and it’s properly made up. That’s something of a miracle. Last time the bed was slept in was last time my super buddy Colin came to stay in the middle of July. Since then, the duvet had disappeared to who-knows-where, the remainder of the bedding was still on the bed from his last visit and on top of that was a makeshift photography studio – lights, backdrop, detritus from four months of PAD and other assorted gunk. Now, it’s a tidy and although barely, a functioning bedroom again for Colin’s impending visit for this weekend.

I can’t tell you how much pleasure it brings me to say that. I miss spending more time with him. I miss the chats about books, the shared love of food, his wonderful ability to attract dogs – see this – I even miss his size 12s! He’s coming down for a quick weekend and I can’t wait to see him.

I’m not sure whether this will increase or decrease my new-found reputation as the office minx since I seem to be accidentally falling into every double entendre going at the moment. Today’s gem was that the spare bedroom was in use as a photography studio – now they all think I’m engaging in making porno pics, which couldn’t be further from the truth of course. Any moment now, they’re going to start to call me Benny Hill.

So, the photo is the antithesis of what they think is going on and it’s a celebration of the fact that someone will be sleeping in a proper bedroom this weekend as the studio has been packed down.

What's that you say? Oh, yes, it's true that the photo does include a bed...oh and three naked torsos...oh and a bunny...oh OK then, perhaps it does meet the dictionary definition of porn!
