We were driving out in the country recently and came across this herd of Texas Longhorns and I asked to stop and get some pictures of them. There were about 7-8 others cars also stopped, for the same reason, by the time we left. What I thought interesting but never realized before, was the many different shapes that their horns come in.

This one definitely had the biggest set of horns (and most unusually-shaped) so I took more pictures of him than any of the others. With the shape of his horns, it seems like it would be hard for him to eat anything that was ground-level, as the horns would get in the way.

This one had no apparent fear of humans and ambled over to the area of fence that Chris, I and another photographer were standing by. Chris got his wish to feel what their horns feel like with his own hands as in the next two photos.
