Wolf spider (Lycosidae)

Reveler Conservation Area

This large female is hoisting around an even larger egg sac. For many female wolf spiders, there is little rest... first the huge egg sac that goes everywhere, and then, when the eggs are hatched, the spiderlings clamber onto her back and ride with her until big enough to strike out on their own https://pbase.com/laroseforest/image/170842913).

Excellent macro bringing out detail that would otherwise be well camouflaged.

You find the coolest things. Excellent shot! I had no idea that the egg sac was so huge. It's almost as big as she is.
