An unusually coloured click beetle photographed in Rockcliffe Park. This may be Ampedus sanguinipennis. Thanks to Blaine for helping with this ID.

hmmm. this could be Ampedus sanguinipennis. I am not sure of A. apicatus having completely red elytra. Will have to revisit.
