Parkes, NSW ~ Radio Telescope~The Dish

You may have forgotten, or didn't know it, but while the U.S.A put their astronauts
up there, it was Australia who provided the world with those images of man's first walk on the moon.

We dropped by on our way south...it was raining so we opted to stop by the gate while I took this shot. I do however recommend going in there to look....the last time I had to be dragged out, could have stayed all day.

Yes I know...the Aussies did a great job. In fact the Americans could not have been without this dish.
