Cool effect and I will try the action. Thanks Karen

I like the photo without the window effect; great angle of view and comp.

the winter allways has the hope for summer in itself. you just proved it. great

You have problems with winter, I have problems with high sun.
I like the perpective on this, the clouds look very heavy with snow, even though the chance is only 20%.
Thanks for the link.

I like it..for every season change change..

Wonderful collage of this winter landscape, Karen.
It is like adding just the right amount of spice to an already tasty dish.

And thanks for the link.
I am sure you will see my attempt to use it sometime in the not so distant future.

Nice country side shot. Like your montage as well.
Karen Leaf03-Dec-2005 03:32
Oh yeah, I like this barn, too :)

Hang on to your hopes, my friend
That’s an easy thing to say, but if your hopes should pass away
Simply pretend
That you can build them again........
My favorite S and G song! (until some one brings up another, lol)

Thats one of the good things about Charlotte is that most of the year, including winter, it is blue skies and sunny, we do get our depressing overcast, wet cold days too though, but not like up north. I would trade it to live in the mountains however.

I like this and it is very well composed. Every season has it's beauty I believe. Thanks for the link - looks really interesting.

I love this image, Karen ... it shows the starkness of approaching winter ...

Thanks for the link ... looks pretty fun!

I fully agree with Ray.
I love this "difficult" and reduced light and I think winter pictures have a special charm.
I think you captured a very evocative sky here, Karen!
The for me it's much harder to take pictures in the heart of summer, when sun is so hight and there is such a total sharp contrast.
You chose a great perspective here and I love this picture.

I like to think of winter as a time when nature yet again changes and gives us new opportunities. I'm able to shoot during those limited daylight hours so guess I'm luckier than many.
Again, love the viewpoint.

Very cool!

I really like the PS work. Makes the picture look less drab.
Guest 02-Dec-2005 15:49
I love the collage! So what are you going to do with it? Yes, winter pictures are no fun if it's drab outside, but you found an interesting perspective in this photo. I like it :)
Guest 02-Dec-2005 15:26
Great job Karen, you are really expressing so nice with photography

Yes, winter photography can be challenging........but why else do we take photos if not for the challenges? You certainly stepped up to the plate with this image... well done. Thanks for sharing the PanosFX web site........I think that the effect is pretty neat!

I agree about winter photography. Very boring unless it snows or something. Seems like it's usually just cold and muddy all winter. Just have to make the best of it, as you've done here.

Nice shot thanks for sharing your weather forecast
Gayle P. Clement02-Dec-2005 13:48
It does sound like it will be awfully cold and blowy. Bundle up!
Breland02-Dec-2005 13:38
Nice shot of the cold frount moving through, nice colors to go a good hilly scene. The action shot is pretty neat.

I have to agree with you about winter. There is only about 2 hours in the day that provide adequate light for outdoor shooting. Although sometimes you can get lucky and get a good shot of shadows because the sun is coming in at such sharp angles. Anyway, I like the peacefulness of this scene.
