My grandpaw, Samuel T. Meadows was Chief of Police in both Glen Lyn, Va, and in Oakvale, WV, and also served as veterinarian for the area. He was born and raised on a farm right there in Elgood close to the old post office, and was the son of James Alfred, and Victoria Foley Meadows. My gandpaw, and my grandmaw Winnie Dunn Meadows (Daughter of C.A. , and Mary Broyles Dunn of Peterstown, WV) are buried in the cemetery at Oakvale.
