Hi Claudio, came across your galleries because of the pbase most popular, and I enjoy it a whole lot. No time now to comment on more of your photos (will be back as time permits), but apart from the quality of the images there are few other things that connect with me right away: I recognise number of places since I live just north of TO and myself like to come down to shoot in the city, number of your photos have dogs in them, and I just love dogs, trying to photograph them is combining two passions for me, not an easy task but rewarding when it works out.
Have you seen dogs, dogs, dogs by Elliot Erwitt?
http://www.magnumphotos.com/c/htm/FramerT_MAG.aspx?Stat=Portfolio_DocThumb&V=CDocT&E=2K7O3RZ7T9S&DT=ALB That's my all time favourite.
As for this photo, really nice, for me the dog is not the photo but a part of it, a lansdscape enhance by his presence and by his expression, perhaps worrying about the friend swimming to far away? Good wide angle composition with nice debth and balance, nice curve of the wood. Perhaps a bit overshapened?
Take care for now.
