Located near Ruleville, MS, was a large plantation that at one time employed over 2000 workers, who lived on the farm. Many seminal bluesmen came out of Dockery Farms, including Charley Patton, Willie Brown, Son House and Chester Burnett (aka Howlin' Wolf).
