B-56 (North Division Chief) used to run out of this house as well.

Engine 16 operated out these quarters until 1991 when a new station was built at Jefferson Avenue and Kingsley to house Engine 16, Engine 21, Ladder 6. Engine 16 was unfortunate because she met the budget axe in 2002.
This station was converted in the rear to apartments for low income vets.
To the right of the station is the former WKBW-TV studios and to the left is NFTA Transit Police headquarters.

Engine 16 was orginally supposed to house the Buffalo Fire Historical Society per the Common Council. However, the Society operates out of a building at William Street.
