Located on the southwestern edge of the St. Louis area, this restaurant was at one time billed as the "world's largest roadside restaurant." It was built in 1950 to replace the original restaurant which burned. It closed as "The Diamonds" in 1969, and reopened in 1971 as the "Tri-County Truck Stop" until it closed in 2006. The building remains, unused and boarded up.
