Overnighter ! You will need to get a motel room. I will do my best to help pair any two individuals up to one room so to help with the motel expense if anyone is open for that !
If the weather does not cooperate I will have to cancel before 48 hours motel check in time on Saturday to save me from losing my deposit so check this page for updates !
ps. IMPORTANT ! - reply to my cell phone coverage question to Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort - No cell service for almost 20 miles from us. Most accidents are reported to one of the Sheriffs or THP but some come to our store to have us call. There is a phone between rooms 8&9 in our motel that makes emergency and local calls, long distance requires a calling card.
After we get to Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort we will eat lunch there.

I will carry a family radio walkie talkie and monitor channel 5 ( at the restaurant ) should we get split up for whatever the reason or if someone gets behind for not showing up on time.... cuz Im leaving at 7 AM ! That will give you 1 hour to catch us there or meet us on the Dragon somewhere . A lot of detail but Im trying to cover all basis. Again... no cell phone service in that area as Ive been told my management there.
Leave McDonalds at 7 AM ( That's 7:00 AM.... in the morning ). Address for McDonalds is 812 Winston Rd, Lexington, NC 27295 Its the McDonalds on Business Hwy 85 ( hwy 29/70 ). NOT the McDonalds near Interstate 85. Make sure you know where to meet ! If not post a question under this pic and come back for the answer.

2. 40 West to Hwy 74 West ( Exit # 27 )-( Great Smoky Mt Expressway) 140 miles
3. Go on Great Smoky Mt. Expressway ( Hwy 74 West ) to Almond 50 miles
4. Make Right on Hwy 28 go to Deals Gap

5. Make right onto Hwy 129 ( Tapaco Road ) /115( Tail of the Dragon ) 12 miles

NOTE !! For those who plan to stay in Robbinsville you make a left onto Hwy 143 ( Sweetwater Road ) from Hwy 28 in Stecoa and go about 9 miles into Robbinsville. Get your ass registered in a hurry and get on Hwy 129 for about 20 miles to to Deals Gap . Meet us there. We will be waiting at the grill for you !
