Bosque is a Spanish term used to describe a wooded area by a river. The Bosque along the Rio Grande in New Mexico is comprised mostly of large, gnarly cottonwood trees. In the fall, the leaves turn a bright, vivid yellow. The contrast with the deep blue skies of New Mexico is quite remarkable.
