In this section of my gallery are my artist bears.
This art form is very unique in the fact that the possibilities are endless. In the short time I have been working in this field I have had my artist bears published in teddy bear magazines and had two of my artist bears nominated and won third in the TED Worldwide in Germany.
The new bears “Artist Bear Dolls” I would have to say I am more an anthropomorphic mystical bear artist. All my designs and the patterns are hand drawn by me and are sculptured from mohair and other fabric materials as well as polymer clay.
I have three series at this time, one I call the "Talking Bears" and then there is "Walking Bears" and finally the Faunus series. The talking bears have pose-able mouths. It is a technique I worked on so the mouths may be posed open or closed without having to use a mechanism. The walking bears are a clan series of bears and they will have a continuing story with each bear. I hope to publish a book on this series of bears. I have two such bears , Zandermis and Naytura Whispering Wind Woman. The special feature to these bears is; they are made to look like; in the sense that they are walking. My Artist Bear Dolls have been called “mystical looking”, “Out of this world creative and whimsical”, “so "Chronicles of Narnia”.
In this gallery you will find four of my artist bears dolls. These bears have been shown in Galleries and have been featured in two Teddy Bear Magazines. Zandermis and Natura Whispering Wind Woman won third in the World TED Awards.
Bona Dea is a Faun bear from the anthropomorphic series.
