Close-up photograph of a vintage 6X5GT tube from RCA (American Radio Association).
This specific tube is from the 1950's or the 1960's at the latest, perhaps even earlier, that is considered the Golden Era of US production of vacuum tubes.
6X5GT tubes are used in for example the RS30-EQ RIAA by Japanese hihg-end producer Leben.
The 6X5GT tube in the image is a vintage NOS (New Old Stock) tube aquired from an American surplus inventory dealer. It tests 30% above NOS values.
6X5GT tubes are also used in Audio Note UK products, e.g. the DAC 3.0 from 6X5GT Audio Note UK.
The photo of the 6X5GT is shot with a Nikon D3 camera using a Carl Zeiss Milvus 50mm f/1.4 Distagon T lens.
