I like the way you imply dimension here, Jude. The two men talking anchor the picture, while the railing and its shadows, along with the road edges and arches, diminish in scale as they recede into space. And it ends in the colorful buildings that give the bridge its sense of place.
Had the opportunity to see the bridge on it's swinging path as we entered the inner channel to the port dock on an Italian cruiser in 1968. It was a very fantastic night sight that still is on my mind.
