C/2011 L4 (PANSTARRS). Taken along Hwy 35 in the Santa Cruz Mountains on March 10, 2013 at 8:03 PM
PDT with a Pentax K-5 and an SMC Pentax-D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro lens. Comet is visible at right
center. This is a single exposure of 1.6 seconds at f4 and an ISO of 800. On this day I was able
to spot the comet with binoculars about 40 minutes after sunset. I could not see it unaided. This
is a cropped and downsized image. Processed with Photoshop CS5 and Neat Image.
