NGC 4088 (Arp 018)

NGC 4088 (Arp 018) spiral galaxy, type SBbc, in Ursa Major. This galaxy is included in the Arp Atlas
of peculiar galaxies in the category of “Detached Segments”. The galaxy at lower center is NGC 4085,
spiral galaxy type SBc. Taken Apr. 5, 6 and 7th, 2010. Imaged with CCD Lab’s Q285M Camera and a C8N
at f5 on a Losmandy G11/Gemini mount. The L subframes were 5 minutes binned 1x1, while the RGB
frames were 2.5 minutes binned 2x2. The final total exposures were L : R : G : B (min) = 250 : 50 :
50: 50. Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with final processing using
PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
