NGC 6826 (PK 83+12.1, PN G083.5+12.7), planetary nebula, in Cygnus. Taken Aug. 9, 12, 13, and
Aug. 25 2009. Imaged with CCD Lab’s Q285M and a C8N at f5 on a Losmandy G11/Gemini mount.
OIII exposures were 8 minutes to capture the outer envelope and 30 seconds for the core, while the RGB
exposures were 30 seconds resulting in the following total exposures with the OIII information used for the
luminosity channel OIII:R:(G+OIII):(B+OIII) (min) = 360:15:(15+360):(15+360). Color balance was
achieved via numerically scaled channels using a field star with a b-v color index similar to a G type star.
Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using PixInsight LE
and Photoshop CS. North is up
