Abell 426, Galaxy Cluster in Perseus, centered on NGC 1272 (type E) along with NGC 1275 (type E pec,
also identified as Caldwell 24, Perseus A and 3C84) left of center. Taken over several nights in Nov
and Dec 2007 with a DSI Pro II and Outback Cooler. Scope used was a C8NGT (8" Newtonian f5) on an
ASGT mount. LRGB subframes were 3 minutes resulting in the following total exposures L:R:G:B (min) =
399:84:87:87. Color balance was achieved via numerically scaled channels. Captured with Envisage,
calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using FITZ, PixInsight LE and
Photoshop CS. North is up.
