NGC 383 (Arp 331)

NGC 383 (Arp 331). The NGC 383 group is also cataloged as Arp 331 in the class of Galaxy Chains. Also
seen are other group members from NGC 379 through NGC 388, and many other background galaxies. Taken
on the nights of Sept 30, Oct 5, 6, and 21, 2008 with CCD Lab’s Q285M and a C8N at f5 on a Losmandy
G11 mount. The L subframes were 4 min and the RGB subframes were 2 min binned 2x2, resulting in the
following total exposures L:R:G:B (min) = 280:42:42:42. Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated and
sigma combined in Iris with other processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
