Mouttas Muragl

The one of a kind view over the lake region of the Upper Engadine has always lured poets and artists to Graubünden. Today, hikers are inspired by the view and the unique atmosphere of the Mouttas Muragl in the summer. The panorama trail is the most beautiful high altitude trail in the Engadine. The red cable car has climbed the steep slope for over 100 years. You can get on at the valley floor of the Engadine, the Punt Muragl. From there it climbs 2,456 meters above sea level in 10 minutes. The cable car was opened in 1907, and a restaurant and hotel followed soon after. Today the mountain restaurant is considered the first plus energy hotel in the Alps and has been awarded various prizes. The dining hall with the large panorama windows is an absolute insider tip throughout Graubünden and Switzerland.

Beautifully composed. The home seems so small compared to the majestic mountains. V

Typical but I like this mood and nature

This image feels like it is above the tree line. I like how the rocks in the foreground mimic the taller distant peaks of the mountains. The location of the building helps create a superb composition. There is a special beauty above the tree line on mountains I think. A beautifully shot scene Jose. Voted+
