Teruel. Catedral de Santa Maria de Mediavilla

It is a complex of buildings, which represents the outcome thorough the eight centuries of its existence. It has one of the Mudejar Bell Towers in the city (1257-1258) and its lowest part is crossed by a street. Another significant Mudejar work inside the Cathedral is its roofing, made by the year 1300 in wood, with mudejar framework with jointed rafters, profusely decorated with a variety of epigraphic, geometric and vegetal motives of Islamic traditions with figurative, lineal gothic decoration. Other important elements in the Cathedral are its dome known as “Cimborrio” (Martin de Montalvan), the South Portal (Pablo Monguió) and the Main Altarpiece (Gabriel Yoli).
