The 1st of November - All Saints' Day - is an official public holiday in Poland.
The main tradition of All Saints' Day is to visit the cemeteries where our beloved ones are resting.
People lay flowers, candles and votive lights on the graves of deceased family members and friends.
The candles are especially made so they can burn for many hours. It is believed that these candles help the departed souls find their way through the darkness.
During the night the cemeteries will glow with thousands of lights.
This tradition continues through to All Souls' Day, which is on November 2, but it is not a public holiday.
