All the way between Camp 1 Polour at 2270 m and Camp 2 at 3040m can be reached by car, but we decided to make some acclimatization right on the first day.
So we walked the 6.4 Km distance from the gravel road junction up to Camp 2.

Behind me there is Dobrar (Ghareh Dagh) Ridgeline of the Central Alborz Mountains - an impressive 52 Km long mountain chain that forms a continuous wall in the southeastern portion of the Central Alborz Mountains of northern Iran.
This ridgeline gives rise to more than 20 named peaks and many other unnamed high points.
The elevations of 5 of these peaks exceed 4000 m. and the highest of them is the 4072 m summit of the West Dobrar Peak.
