Traveling to Tasmania was one of the big deals for me on this trip. Having grown up with Warner Brothers' Tasmanian Devil character (I still have a glass with the character on it) I was anxious to see a real one. Tasmania is interesting because it is located at 45 degrees south lattitude. For reference, Portland, Oregon, is located at 45 degrees north lattitude. This was a very interesting stop on the trip. We spent two nights in Hobart, the capital.
