We got a new lawn mower. Today I got to try it out. The old one (a Toro) lasted 16 years. I thought that was pretty good. This one is also a Toro. It has a neat feature. When you push on the handle it goes forward. What is cool is that it matches whatever speed you are walking. Pretty neat, in my book. When the boys come home to visit, I will let them try it out.

All the grocery carts I use have the same feature: they move at whatever speed I walk. To engage the feature, all I have to do is touch the handle and apply a modest force. I think it has something to do with fratostatic inversion of magnetic impulses. Technology is great.
