Good to Know

070727_024P.jpg

In these parts (Oregon farming area) a staple on the shelf of drug stores is Bag Balm or Udder Balm of various descriptions. I can hear you chuckling. The truth is that this stuff, used to protect the milking apparatus of a cow, seems to have good qualities for the skin of humans as well. There are several tins of the stuff on the shelf here at the farm. If you google udder balm you will find a number of uses for it. Anyway, at the Washington County fair, this guy had a booth set up and was peddling the stuff. I forgot the brand. He also had another similar poster with Shania Twain making the same claim. Be sure to read the fine print at the bottom. Jeez, I love disclaimers.

When I grow up I want to be a Certified Balm Application Agent with a booth at New Age fairs and retro hippie gatherings.

I prefer "I can't Believe it's not Udder-Balm" 8-)
