Over the last month or so I have repaired both door latches on the Cessna 170. It was difficult finding out procedures. There is a Cessna 170 Type Club forum which is, in my estimation, almost totally intractable. I spent hours trying to figure it out from cryptic and often just plain goofy comments. Everybody is an expert. You know how that goes. So after fumbling through the first latch repair and learning how to do it I decided to photograph the procedure when I did the second door. The result was satisfactory and I pulled it together in this gallery.
