A very unusual thing happened to me a few weeks ago while reading Christmas cards. One from Bruce and Terry of Fairfax, VA, had a p.s. that said he recommended a book entitled "Unsettled" about all this climate stuff. As I was reading the card my phone made a noise indicating a message had arrived. Normally, I am not in a habit of looking at my phone every time it makes a noise, but it was sitting in front of me so I decided to have a look. It was a message from my friend Bruce in Austin. Now hold on to your seats. It was a photo of a book by Steven E. Koonin entitled "Unsettled" and a note that said he highly recommends this. No, I had not had any adult beverages.

I am interested in the subject of climate change. Like so many other things there is an awful lot of bullshit flying around. The book was available as an e-book from our library so I downloaded it and read it over a few days. It was very interesting and I found myself wishing I could take notes in the margins. So I ordered the book and now I am going to have some fun reading and taking notes.
