January 22, 2021

Today we went into Houston to get the first dose of the covid vaccination. Our site was at a Houston Methodist facility. Ginny had found the location and made the appointments for us. She can be very proactive about these things. When we arrived at the site, we were ushered right in and started through the process. There were a number of stations you had to proceed through. They were very organized. When you finished at one you were directed to the next which was manned by a flag waving helper. So we went from flag to flag. Everybody was cheerful and helpful. Finally, it was time for the injections. We were getting the Pfizer vaccine. The nurse giving the shots was very efficient. We were out of there in no time and ushered into a sitting room to wait for 15 minutes to see if there was an allergic reaction. There wasn't. We followed the flags again and went right to the parking garage. Good overall experience, thanks to Houston Methodist.

As for today's photo, I am not sure that closing your eyes aids in making the shot painless, but apparently Ginny does.

To be fair she might have blinked as the shutter opened.
