Sunset Through the Forest

I originally was stalking through this Aspen forest seeking fall color shots of the setting sun in a GORGEOUS location. I shot at a small aperture and made sure a tree was blocking the sun so I could get a good starburst. And, given the tremendously high contrast I shot three images each 1-stop apart to process as HDR. I had NO intention at the time of processing this for B&W. But the lens flares were so harsh I went for the B&W version and voila, it came out better than color!
