Mount Athabasca and Hilda Peak

Driving south from Jasper toward Banff, this scene is just south of the Columbia Icefields about 7 miles or so. The wind was blowing quite strong which made getting a steady shot rather challenging. That notwithstanding, of the many, many times I've travelled this road this trip was the first time I've seen this section of the Icefields Parkway with clear skies. And oh how glorious the mountains were!

Mount Athabasca is 11, 453 feet (3,491 m) and Hilda Peak is 9,331 feet (2,844 m).
